Join us for an evening of tales of ships gone missing! This year's program consists of four outstanding speakers telling true tales of maritime disasters on the Great Lakes. Programs include: Tattletale Sounds: Edmund Fitzgerald. Famed documentarian and diver Ric Mixter returns to share his investigation of the Great Lakes' most famous disaster, reveal new information, and expose secrets long kept! Manitou Mysteries: The Discovery of the W. C. Kimball. Shipwreck hunter Ross Richardson is back to tell the tale of his recent discovery of an upright and intact two-masted schooner and his theory of how this mystery ship disappeared with its entire crew. The Mystery of the Peshtigo & St. Andrew: Shipwreck Hunter Bernie Hellstrom and technical diver John Jansen share the surprising double discovery of two side-by-side schooners, and what diving the wrecks revealed. Deadly Disasters: MSRA author and explorer Valerie van Heest heralds the advent of steamships while noting how the new technology led to the Great Lakes' most deadly disasters.
