Innkeeper/ Property Manager for Small Property

We are looking for an innkeeper to manage our newly acquired bed and breakfast. The property is located 1.5 hours from Washington DC, it is located on 20 acres of farmland and is on the water. There are 5+ buildings you will be looking after. We plan to provide a great experience to our guests. Who will be mostly large families or groups of people looking to book each house all at the same time. We may also book weddings on property as well from time to time. Bookings will come through the different properties through Airbnb/VRBO so you will need to have strong skills at interacting with guests, but you will not be responsible for taking or managing the bookings, just dealing with guests once on site. Ability to cook/ cater (food) ability would be ideal but not required. Restaurant Experience in cooking for large groups and things of that nature would also be ideal. Given the main nature of work is being a handyman, the majority of work will be dedicated to repairs, maintenance, and making sure the property is kept up very nicely both interior and exterior. Prior jobs as a handyman or contractor would also be fantastic. Housing on-site will be provided. It's required that you would live on the property. Discussion of housing arrangements can be fully discussed if you pass the interviews. Responsibilities: Greeting visitors and prospective guests Managing Guest Check-in and Check-out Taking care of guest needs and establishing a guest connection (Giving restaurant recommendations, activities help etc. while on site etc.). Coordinating (Ideally fixing internally without calling plumbers etc) that urgent maintenance requests are taken care of (stopped toilets, electricity, etc.). Verifying cleanliness, order, temperature, and lighting of rooms that guests are checking into Keeping counters, stove in the kitchen clear and cleaning common areas When the situation calls for it, stepping in and helping with other housekeeping tasks – Or taking on housekeeping as well Restocking kitchen and anything else that needs restocking for guests Providing on-site presence at the inn for guests and generally serving as the innkeeper.
