Description Byrd Design and Build combines 20+ years of custom home building experience with in-house interior and architectural design teams to deliver breathtaking living spaces for our clients. We focus on providing a personalized customer experience, high-end craftsmanship, and on-time delivery to ensure client satisfaction on every project. Summary The Lead and Assistant Carpenter positions at BDB require a multi-talented individual. The Carpenter effectively completes hands-on production and managerial tasks. An effective Carpenter consistently meets deadlines and quality benchmarks working on various tasks from framing to drywall and paint to finish carpentry on a wide variety of high-end residential renovation and new build projects. Job Requirements -A minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter or a related field. -General knowledge of all facets of residential construction including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, roofing, siding, drywall, and interiors. -Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices. -Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of carpenters. -Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with clients and other members of the construction team. -The ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents. -Proficiency with a variety of carpentry tools and equipment. -Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks. -Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. -The ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once. -A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to office. Company vehicle will be provided for travel to job sites. -Strong work ethic and discipline. -Ability to lead and coordinate in the field. -Residential remodeling experience required, commercial experience a bonus. -Creative problem solving abilities -Team player -Organized and punctual. Experience: Construction Experience: 7 years (Required) Carpentry Experience: 5 years (Required) *$5000 Sign-On Bonus will be paid out after the employee has been with the company on good standing for 90 days ($1,000), 6 months ($1,500) and 1 year ($2,500).
