Cutting boards, tabletops, butcher blocks, and furniture... many woodworking projects require a "glue-up." In this class, you'll make a simple cutting board, and learn each step hands-on, from cutting to clamping to finished product. Topics covered: * Cutting on tablesaw and chopsaw for rough and finish sizing * Scrollsaw and bandsaw for cutting curved shapes * Planing and sanding to achieve a flat, finished surface * A variety of clamping techniques, including rope and wedges, to save on cost and workspace What to bring/not to bring? For your personal safety, please wear closed-toe shoes, tie long hair back, and avoid any dangling jewelry or baggy clothing. You may also want to bring a water bottle and a snack�.
