Description
About eDoulaeDoula is a revolutionary new app that aims to provide accessible and affordable doula services to expectant parents. Doulas are trained professionals who provide emotional, physical, and informational support to families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. They are an invaluable resource for parents, but unfortunately, doula services can be expensive and not always accessible to everyone. This is where eDoula comes in, an app that connects expectant parents with certified doulas in their area, allowing them to receive the support they need at an affordable price. The app was founded by Dr. Bettina Paek, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has seen firsthand the benefits of doula support for her patients. eDoula launched in 2022 with a version for families and one for caregivers to provide labor support for all families. Dr. Bettina Paek is the CEO of eDoula and is excited about the next growth phase of eDoula. Bettina is a native of Germany, where she attended undergraduate and medical school at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University Hospital in Munich at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA. To have a larger impact on how maternal healthcare is delivered she pursued a Leadership Executive MBA at Seattle University. She won the 2019 Seattle University Harriet Stephenson Business Plan Competition for a labor support app now called eDoula.
