Join us for a FREE public screening of the upcoming film, “Neon Cactus,” at the Cinema Centre 8. Written, produced and directed by Shawnee native Chris Zuhdi. The screening is being in partnership with the Shawnee Film & Music Office with support from Ronnie Jones and Jones Theaters. Be sure to stock up on refreshments before the show. Cinema Center 8 and the Jones Family have been tremendous supporters of film in Shawnee for decades. Synopsis: Stanley Cooper's marriage to Maureen is on the rocks. Both approach Faustian character Johnny Rocket, owner of the Neon Cactus bar, to murder the other. Murder, romance, and unexpected comedy ensue in this fresh take on Crime Fiction. This highly anticipated detective noir was shot largely in the Shawnee area. Also starring Paul T. Taylor, Courtney Hebst, Manny Greenfield, Alexis King, Justina England, Adah Hagen, Hugo Christian, Megan Grace and Chris Zuhdi. Please RSVP for attendance accuracy.
