Community Brass Band - Start Up

Description

Looking for musicians in the Conway/Aynor area interested in the formation of a small brass ensemble. Are you a current (or former) brass player that is 18+ years old? Do you have a dust-covered tuba, euphonium, baritone, trumpet, cornet, (French) horn, or trombone that you'd like to shine up and start playing again, but haven't really had a reason to? My goal would be a group that gets together to perform at community gatherings, street fairs, riverfront festivals, holiday events, etc. I do not anticipate having auditions. I just ask that if you want to participate, that you practice your parts so that the weekly rehearsals (when we actually get to that point) go smoothly. And yes, I am aware of the other fine performing bands in the Myrtle Beach area. I would like to see another one, here in Conway, for our community. If this sounds like fun, and like something you'd be interested in, please drop me a line using the email relay. I'm really just trying to gauge interest at this point. Please tell me what instrument you play, a self-assessment of your skill level (1-4, where 1=bad and 4=good), and how long it has been since you last played your instrument. Thanks for your time. I look forward to the day when we can have a community brass band here in Conway. Sincerely, Rob
