Join our fly-tying experts and learn how to tie some of the most effective flies for both salt- and freshwater. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings with Session 1 beginning November 9, 2022 and ending January 18, 2023. Session 2 begins January 25 and ends March 22, 2023. NEW! Each night we are offering a Beginner Class from 5-6:30pm followed by an Intermediate Class from 7-8:30pm. Please do not sign up for both. Session 2 will be a repeat of Session 1, allowing students to graduate from beginner to intermediate level or repeat a session. WEEK 9 Beginner Parachute Ant. Ants seem to be a favorite snack of feeding trout. Parachute style flies allow for the body of the fly to sit down into the surface film while the more visible post material is visible to the angler. Parachute material can be white or a brighter color depending on the conditions. Ants can be tied in a variety of colors including black and cinnamon.
