I've seen hundreds of resumes from CL. I've interviewed dozens of CL applicants. I've hired about a dozen. With one exception, the people I hired turned out to be lousy employees. When you hire a person, you have hopes they're going to be professional, have the ability to take on more responsibility and are motivated by money. But not the case. The people I hired were just happy to "trade their hours for dollars." I realize if you're looking for jobs on CL there is an issue. Maybe you're underemployed. Maybe you are an entrepreneur masquerading as an hourly employee. Whatever the case, I need people to work for me. I have a business. I need people with excellent research and marketing skills. I need people that understand the people that generate revenue should share in that revenue. No need to give a detailed description of my business here. Would be a waste of my time. I will share that opportunity is knocking for a few people who want to have career instead of a series of blah jobs. Interested? Send a short cover letter and a resume put together in the current decade. Want to know how to get deleted immediately? (1) Reply with "Interested! Tell me more!!" (2) Send a cover letter with no resume. (3) Send a resume with no cover letter. (4) Send a resume that shows eight jobs in the last five years--all with horizontal moves instead of vertical moves. (5) Neglect to tell me what you are doing now for income (How do you spend your days?)
