MLK Jr. Day of Service | January 16, 2023 | 10-noon | Barcroft Park, 4200 S Four Mile Run Dr In honor of a day on, not a day off, join us for an in-person cleanup at Barcroft Park. We’ll celebrate the day with volunteers cleaning up trash and debris from Four Mile Run and the park. All ages are welcome, adults must accompany children. All are welcome! What We'll Do We'll pick up trash and debris from Four Mile Run and the park and collect them in trash bags. Please meet us at the information board between the parking garage and the parking lot. Look for our table! We’ll focus on picking up the litter and trash that gathers near the stream in the park. Spread the word and invite your friends to join us! This event is free, but registration is required. The cleanup will be held rain or shine. If there is severe weather, we will cancel this event. What to Bring GlovesTrash Pickers or GrabbersSun protectionWater in a reusable bottleTrash bags and gloves will be available onsite. A limited supply of trash grabbers will be available. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. Dress to keep warm, but wear clothes that enable you to move comfortably. Getting to the Event Parking is available on-site. We encourage you to walk, ride, or take public transit if that is possible for you. This location is served by transit, multi-use trails, and Capital Bikeshare.
