Description

The Taste of the Apple and Annual Meeting is an opportunity for both current and prospective parents to get a "taste" of the Mackintosh Academy experience. Join Mack’s faculty and staff throughout campus to find out what happens inside our classrooms as well as learn more about the important work accomplished by our administration and governance team at Mackintosh and plans for the future. To start off the evening, teachers and staff will welcome parents onto campus and into their classrooms to provide examples and share what learning is all about in our inquiry-based International Baccalaureate program. Prospective parents can tour our classrooms, meet teachers, and visit with Mack parents. Current parents can visit their child's classroom for a first-hand glimpse into what their students are studying, or get a sneak peek of what their child's program will look like next year by visiting the upcoming grade. (Or – why not do both?) Specialists in PE, Spanish, visual arts, and performing arts will also be available for visits. Either way, you'll have an opportunity to get to know our Mack teachers and curriculum – up close and personal! After the classroom open houses, join us for dinner with the Mackintosh community and the Board of Trustees, followed by the "State of the School" address and annual report presented by Head of School Beth Steklac and the Mackintosh Board of Trustees. This is a time to celebrate everything that our Mack community accomplished over the past school year, and look ahead to our exciting plans for the future. 5:00 - 6:00 pm Taste of the Apple/Open House 6:30 - 8:00 pm Dinner and Annual Meeting We kindly ask that all attendees RSVP so we can have an accurate head count for dinner. RSVPS close on Sunday, January 22 at midnight. Child care will be available for current Mackintosh students only. Please find more information and reserve a spot by signing up through a separate posting on ParentSquare.
