Let’s get together with meetup host and splitboarder Tiona Eversole in Silverton Colorado to practice our beacon skills. Bring warm winter attire, snacks, warm drinks, and your backcountry gear including beacons, shovels and probes. (you may want to practice with your splitboard and skins on to simulate possible real life scenarios). The group will be burying a beacon to practice companion rescue, so if you have an extra, bring it along with small backpack/bag to bury for scenarios. T * this event is hosted by a volunteer novice woman who splitboards in your area. This is not a structured class, course, or intended to replace any sort of professional training/education in the backcountry. This meetup is hosted as a social event to help facilitate meeting touring partners, practice skills to gain confidence, and to uplift and support each other on your splitboarding journey. We do not tour in the backcountry for any meetups.
