Free hand Anime drawing- Within this course, Claire Dilehay will teach a basic history of Japanese Anime as well as demonstrate and teach foundational basic Anime drawing skills. Kanji & Japanese vocabulary-learn some basic Japanese vocabulary, cooking vocabulary, and Chinese character. Nigiri/Musubi-One of the snacks that you'll make for yourself is a rice ball! Anime-A brief overview Japanese table manners & chopsticks useage- We will go over some basic Japanese table manners and how to use chopsticks properly. Symbolic Masks/Japanese Mythology-Go over some 'typical' animals represented in Japanese mythology seen in Anime & Manga. Origami- Make a very cute Origami craft that you'll love Bento- "CharaBen" or "Character Bento" make a very cute Japanese meal box Students will also receive an apron and practice chopsticks to take home.
