The Brown Girl Collective of the Triad Forum is a safe designed to discuss the lived experiences of Black and Brown women from our view and to help us reach our goals. The goal of the forum is to have a safe space for women to engage and connect while also supporting the success of other women through intentional leadership training and panel discussions. The forum includes a leadership training facilitated by Dr. Shinika McKiever of The McKiever Group Creative Company and an impactful conversation panel featuring four BGC leaders from the Triad. The Power of Influence: Finding Your Leadership Style training will be facilitated by Dr. Shinika McKiever and will include a Q&A session and each participant will receive a copy of the training workbook. We are also excited to host the first panel under the new GlowHERs series, which are panel discussions that engage BGC community members in impactful conversations about our unique experiences as women of color. This month’s panel topic is GlowHERs: Speak Your Truth and Take Up Your Space. This event is all about elevating your life perspective and offers a mix of advice and inspiration by sharing real life stories to offer a perspective on managing life experiences. The theme for the January BGC Forum is “Standing Unapologetically in Your Power” and focuses on reclaiming your personal power. Your registration fee includes your ticket and access to the event, a box lunch of your choice, training workbook, and a BGC swag item. This workshop is perfect for you if you’re interested in elevating your skillset, developing as a leader, building community, and learning.
