Basic Tactical Medicine (TACMED) is a beginner level course that teaches the attendees a basic overview of tactical emergency combat care. This course is derived from the Basic Tactical Medical course taught at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. The attendee will learn the basics of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) where extreme bleeding and collapsed lungs are the main subject matter.
During this 7-hour course, the attendee will be exposed to graphic images depicting life threatening wounds. Without the knowledge gained in this course, the individuals depicted would die in a matter of minutes.
The course will offer practical application experience with artificial blood and wounds giving the illusions of real life scenarios.
