This free training at Hope House in Covington focuses on the risk factors and warning signs of human trafficking, as well as how to report it. This presentation is ideal for parents, or anyone who works with youth/children, and will help participants learn how to identify a child in need. Complimentary dinner and refreshments will also be provided.
The training will be hosted by Children's Advocacy Center - Hope House’s Child Trafficking Specialist, Heather Denenea, who is a part of the Louisiana Child and Youth Trafficking Collaborative, a project of the LACAC. Denenea works with a network of fellow coordinators throughout Louisiana to ensure the best outcomes for children and youth who are victims of trafficking, or who are at high risk for exploitation. Denenea also conducts trafficking awareness trainings for adults and youth.
