Responsibilities include:
Supervise all maintenance employees that includes providing work direction to them.
Ensure that repairs are completed in a timely fashion
Develop daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and general maintenance protocols and ensure that custodians and maintenance workers are doing the work specifically assigned to them.
Inspect all areas on a daily basis to ensure that cleaning standards are being followed
Assist with cleaning and maintenance activities as needed.
Assist with room set-ups.
See that all mechanical systems including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems are maintained.
Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for all systems and structures. Maintain log of preventive maintenance.
Maintain and service all power equipment.
Coordinate lawn care, tree and hedge trimming, and general landscaping maintenance including the removal of dead vegetation at the parish center and rectory
Coordinate the timely removal of snow from parking lot, walkways, and rectory and apply ice melting products as needed
Ensure the set-up of various rooms and/or grounds as required for all parish events
Oversee subcontractors
Qualifications:
Experience managing facilities and supervising others preferred
Ability to make minor repairs related to the parish facilities.
Prior custodial experience including the use of floor equipment such as scrubbers, burnishers, and carpet extractors
Knowledge of applicable OSHA and/or Safety Regulations
Must be able to work 40+ hours per week
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to perform room set-ups
Must be able to work outside in different climates
Ability to operate equipment such as floor care equipment, lawn equipment, etc
