If you don't know, "Mothers" is short for something. I don't mean to form another Zappa cover band (though we could definitely do one or two Frank tunes,) but I mostly want to follow the original concept: Satiric rock 'n roll and pop, designed to be just annoying enough that people look up and, (for perhaps the first time in years,) observe their surroundings. Whether we quote as much Stravinsky as Frank (or anything from Beatles to any overplayed pop sensation of today) is up to the performers/contributors to this project. I am a multi-instrumentalist string guy who can do rhythm guitar, lead parts and (if necessary) vocals. With (enough) modern tech, I can see this working out as a two-person operation, but it would probably work best as a power trio of some kind. Send me an email if you are interested!
