Acoustic Guitar ISO Upright Bass: upbeat, original folk-pop/rock music

Hi there - I'm looking for someone in the city or nearby suburbs to join me for live gigs to play a set of my original tunes (and a few covers too). I play acoustic guitar and sing and play harmonica when I perform live. I'm an energetic performer and the songs are upbeat and melodic. I've been told I sound kind of "acoustic punk" but I'm not really that punk at all haha. I'd say I'm more like power-pop unplugged or something... I write a lot of early 60's-style hooks, but I also love bluesy folk/rock and I grew up listening to a bunch of pop-punk and indie college-rock. I really like minimalist set-ups and I guess my goal has been to take the big sounds of music I like and make it work with acoustic instruments. Sort of like a more poppy Violent Femmes. I think an upright bass would be a great addition to make the songs kind of bounce and swing a little more and feel more fun and maybe even danceable live. The songs are straight-forward and easy, mostly in major key. I don't need anyone super professional or anything - just someone who wants to have fun playing as a duo. If you have an upright bass, and can play G,C,D and Am in time, then you're probably good enough. If you can sing and/or add some walking bass parts here and there, that'd be awesome too! I'm 38, have a full-time job and a family, so looking for a casual musical partner who wants to have fun practicing, periodically (but who's also willing to learn songs from afar, as time dictates) and play out at small venues, coffee shops, open mics. Maybe even do some recording. Nothing fancy - I want to keep things fun, loose and chill. If this sounds fun, here are some of the songs I usually play live.
