Saxophone + Clarinet Players Wanted

New Creative Ensemble in the works. We are clarinet (Bb, alto, bass), saxophone (alto, tenor), trombone, guitar, keyboard, bass, drums. I sing on a few as well and am chief composer. Material is in the form of original charts with free improvisation built in. The Aleatoric Method. Think: Eric Dolphy, Albert Ayler, Charles Ives, Thelonious Monk, Don Van Vliet, and Dr. Seuss – all with a sense of humor and a pinch of punk angst. Must read music well and stand capable of soloing outside the realms of standard key & time. Rehearsals begin February in my basement. High hopes are to gig by the summer in the Detroit Metro area and Mid-West. The idea is to have fun, enjoying unconventional music that turns people’s heads inside out.
