Description

We are a respectful, engaged group of writers welcoming all skill levels and genres. We use the MFA-style of giving constructive feedback, with two writers submitting pieces each time, by prior arrangement. We welcome new members to join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at the meeting room in the rear of the Ilsley Public Library in Middlebury. MEETING: Only registered members of Burlington Writers Workshop will be given access to this session. Membership is free and easy. CANCEL: PLEASE cancel your registration if you will not be in attendance, so people on the WAIT LIST will be able to fill that seat. To cancel, click your name or email in the top right corner of the Eventbrite screen, click on tickets, click on workshop to be canceled, and click cancel order. Hosts: Andrea Chesman developed her writing chops as a food writer and cookbook author living in Ripton. For the past several years she has been writing short stories, a few of which have been published. All of these stories were workshopped with the Middlebury Chapter of the Burlington Writers Workshop and much improved by the feedback given. Masha Harris is a native Vermonter who loves telling stories about the characters she knew growing up on the Canadian border. She is forever striving to capture their accents. Her work has appeared in Cold Lake Anthology, Potash Hill, and Chrysalis: The Journal of Transformative Language Arts. Masha has been a member of the Middlebury Chapter of the Burlington Writers Workshop since early 2020 and began co-facilitating the group in Fall 2022.
