Neighbors Impacting Communities (N.I.C.), a non-profit organization in North County led by President Joyce Hughes, invites school-age children to participate in a multicultural affair entitled, “We The People” on Sunday, February 5, 2023. This free event is intended to be by children, for children and their families. The event will have a special focus for inclusion and diversity of all children. Performances begin at 3 p.m. (doors open at 2:30 p.m.) at the Florissant Performing Arts Center, formerly the James J. Eagan Theatre, located at #1 James J. Eagan Dr., Florissant, MO 63033.
In partnership with Stay Focused, celebratory performances by students are expected to include singing, dancing and/or various performances. An all-inclusive, K-12 “Kaleidoscope Choir” has been rehearsing their version of “We Are the World” while Dance Troupe students have been preparing to dazzle the audience with their Afro-centric, hip-hop dance moves to the Rhythm of Culture’s African drum beats.
All children, families and community members are encouraged to register to attend as free general admission as audience guests, seated on a first-come basis. For safety and security reasons, parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with their child(ren), especially those ages 18 years and under. All children in attendance must be supervised by an adult at all times before, during and after the performances.
Donations to support this event are always welcomed. This form may be used to donate or help sponsor this event.
