The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual citizen science event where people from around the world submit their bird watching data. For today's special teen & tween event, we will take an easy stroll around the property, stop at our bird feeding stations, and count all of the birds we see. We’ll discuss basic field ID and how to use eBird when birding on your own. Once we're finished observing and counting, we will submit our data on eBird where scientists at Cornell University and other researchers will use it to track bird populations. No birding experience necessary!
