Nature for All in partnership with Healthy Active Streets bring you this opportunity to explore the LA River on a bicycle in a family friendly setting. This event is open to all ages comfortable enough to independently ride a bike. Meet-Up: Hollydale Regional Park North Lot Bike Repair Clinic: 9 am - 11 am Bike Ride 11:15 am - 3pm approximately Participants who own bikes and helmets are encouraged to bring their own equipment. We will be biking the LA River Bike Path to Rio Hondo Bike path which is approximately 7.3 miles long. We will make a few stops along the way to enjoy the scenery and talk about the LA River. Healthy Active Streets will provide complimentary bike repair service from 9 am to 11 am. Our ride will be departing from Hollydale Regional Park at 11:15 am on the LA River Bikeway to the Rio Hondo Bikeway, and we will arrive at John Anson Ford Park before we return to our starting point. The entirety of the route (out and back) is rated easy with less than 400 ft of elevation gain. See the route map below. You will need to sign a waiver to participate in this event. Minors will need a signed parent consent form to participate. This program is funded through a generous grant from the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy in partnership with Watershed Conservation Authority.
