Join us for MiMentor's & MEDPEP's Inaugural TWL: Behavioral and Mental Health Conference. We have an amazing day planned with inspiring speakers and workshops. What will attendees gain from participating in this conference? Attendees will learn about different professions and pathways to careers in behavioral/mental health as well as options for financing their education. Attendees will be better informed about the careers they can pursue and the importance of having diversity in behavioral and mental health careers. Attendees will receive hands-on training on harms reduction approaches to substance use.Attendees will learn ways to break down generational trauma.Attendees will learn how culturally responsive providers incorporate cultural resources into behavioral health approaches with patients as well as how to utilize these resources in one’s own self-care. Attendees will learn ways they can help destigmatize mental health issues in their own communitiesAttendees will gain an appreciation for the current behavioral health care climate in the United States for marginalized communities.
