Weeding for the Oyster Catchers - Paddle/Trash Clean-Up/ Weed Removal

Join for a guided kayak paddling tour over to Snook Islands to pull weeds and pick up trash for our protected shorebirds in anticipation for their return and nesting this spring! This fun, service event will help maintain the islands as a good nesting habitat for American Oystercatchers and other protected shore birds. Participants will be instructed on the basics of paddling and boating safety and paddle from Bryant Park shore to Snook Islands. We will be clearing exotic vegetation, pulling weeds, picking up trash as directed by the site manager to maintain a clean and open habitat so these protected birds can return to nest, forage and raise their young this spring! You will get wet and dirty! Please wear close-toed water shoes, sunscreen, hat and outerwear that is appropriate for the weather. Don’t forget your reusable water bottle! ERM will provide water, gloves, bags, buckets, shovels and enthusiastic, knowledgeable tour guides.  Restrooms available at Bryant Park.  We will meet at south end of Bryant Park Pier -100 S Golfview Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33460 (south end of Bryant Park) in Lake Worth.
