In 2023, the Lunar New Year began on January 22, making it a fairly early Spring Festival. What is the best way to welcome the Chinese New Year? In Chinese cultural traditions, what are the special and traditional customs of the Spring Festival? Ring in the Year of the Rabbit with us at the American Chinese Museum on January 28, from 11am to 3pm! We will have Lunar New Year culture and tradition display, Chinese dance performance (from 11am), Lion dance (from 12pm), Chinese Lunar New Year crafts, Lunar New Year Marketplace (crafts, tea, clothing sales), Making dumplings demo (from 12:30pm), Dumpling sampling (from 1pm) Don’t miss our lantern festival celebration on February 19, from 11am to 3pm! Bring the whole family — Chinese lantern festival snacks, make a Chinese lantern and bring it home, guess lantern riddles, you will get a free gift if you come up with the right answer for the riddle! Event and museum admission is free.
