What is the HUMMINGBIRD Study? The HUMMINGBIRD study is testing an investigational vaccine that is designed to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The study vaccine is a protein-based (or traditional) vaccine and is not an mRNA vaccine. NVX-CoV2373 has been authorized in various countries for adolescents and adults 12 years of age and older. Now, researchers are evaluating it for children ages 6 months to 11 years. To be eligible for this study, your child must: • Be 6 months to 11 years of age • Have never been diagnosed with COVID-19 • Not have received a previous vaccine to protect against COVID-19 This is not a complete list of eligibility criteria.
