Description

Rehoming my Ball Python. He’s about a year old and weighs around 600 grams - so about a pound to 1.5lbs depending on day / last fed. He eats frozen thawed rats about every 10 days. I do have many feeder rats that will be going with him that are all frozen and individually wrapped. About a year’s worth of food for him. Currently he’s in a plastic tote that’s about 42L with hides on both sides that he loves and coco husk substrate. He’s also supplied with under tank heating and above DHP heating all controlled on a Herpstat 2 thermostat which is a high end thermostat that has dimming feature for bulb. I keep hygrometers on both ends of his enclosure and he has a thermal gradient of around 90 degrees on his warm side and about 78 degrees on his cool side. Humidity is important for him and it is maintained around 60-70% at all times so his sheds are perfect every time. He enclosure is cleaned with F10 spray frequently and his water is changed daily. His temperament is super docile and sweet though he tends to be more on the shy side so he spends most his time in his hides. I get him out everyday for about an hour for handling except after feeding him which I allow him 2 to 3 days to digest before handling him again. I only feed him late at night since he is nocturnal and do so from inside his enclosure. He never misses a meal and is a great eater but he tends to be shy so sometimes he’ll grace you with a feeding show but sometimes he’ll drag his prey into his hide and enjoy his meal in private but he always eats. I’m going through a move and sadly this is why I’ve decided it’s best to rehome him. His rehome fee is $400 and the reason is I want his thermostat and hides to go with him along with all his food, substrate, temp gun, hygrometer, etc and those things are not cheap. The cheapest thing he has is the plastic tub from Home Depot but everything else costs money and I want him to be happy and well taken care of. The thermostat alone for example is over $300. Serious inquiries only please and the $400 rehome fee is firm. I’ll also be asking you many questions to make sure you’re a good fit bc he is a really sweet snake and deserves to be properly cared for.
