Looking for folks to start up a bluegrass band (that also performs some traditional country bluegrass style) in the Black Mountain and Asheville area. I sing, and play dobro and guitar. Looking for banjo, mandolin, bass and guitar players. Some of my influences are the original New South, Bluegrass Album Band, The Country Gentleman, Seldom Scene, Blue Highway, Balsam Range, along with all the traditional groups like Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Jim and Jesse, Ralph Stanley, etc. Also any traditional country artists such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Charley Pride, Waylon Jennings, etc.
