POSITION: Iowa Aluminum Extrusion Press Supervisor: Iowa Aluminum is searching for “The right fit” Supervisors to Manage their state-of-the-art Aluminum Extrusion Presses. Qualifications: Character Integrity Leadership Controlled Intensity Solution Oriented Good Math Skills Results Driven Detail Oriented Ability to quantify decision making Objective thought process Team Oriented Communicator Dependable Coachable Take Ownership FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: Safety First– follow processes provided / Be alert / Be focused / Be organized / Report any irregularities - nonconformities in equipment or personnel. - Lead by example with a full understanding on how to operate and manipulate Extrusion Equipment, i.e.: Oven- Press-stretcher-saw operations. - Must acquire or have a full understanding of extrusion process/tolerances/recovery/expectations/recipes. - Must have a full understanding on how to read prints and determine critical scenarios. - Must understand tolerances and how to utilize precision tools / calipers / micrometers / protractors / squares / comparators / Applicable go-no-go gauges as per recipe and training. - Must Lead and manage 7 employees in all aspects on 2-presses /1- 8-hour shift 5 days per week. - Review daily schedule and expectations with Extrusion Manager prior to each shift. - Communicate directly with Extrusion team on schedule and expectations. - Continuously monitor all positions – Press Operators/Head Stretchers/Saw operators/Quality Technicians. - Continuously monitor and quantify variances between recipes and actual efficiencies/correct negative variances. - Field all concerns- Mechanical/techniques/equations/tolerances/ from employees and offer immediate assistance in rectifying concerns. - Contact correction groups when assistance is needed – Maintenance/die shop/quality control. - Responsible for providing all shift production information post shift as instructed for – Thru put /scrap/downtime/tooling correction/Maintenance concerns. - Responsible for 7 employees’ performance – disciplinary forms. - Review Shift performance and directly communicate with Extrusion Manager on daily/weekly/monthly / yearly performance vs expectations. - Continuously Review solutions with Extrusion Manager / coach / teach your team on necessary corrective actions needed to achieve positive results vs recipe/expectation.
