Otter Creek Awnings is a locally owned small business since 1976 and we are seeking Awning Installers! We proudly serve our clients and offer the finest shading products and impeccable service throughout Vermont, Upstate New York and Western New Hampshire. The Awning Installer position assists in the efficient and timely completion of all awning installations and provides general support to our Lead Installers, Project Manager and Operations Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lift and attach stationary or roll-up canvas, metal awnings and solar screens onto buildings, using hand tools and/or power tools. Assist in accurately measuring and marking of installation site for frame brackets, etc. i.e. over doors, windows, store fronts. Communicates effectively and takes direction from Lead Installers and Operations team. Assists in preparing truck for each day by ensuring necessary tools, installation supplies, product, and equipment have been stocked for each job scheduled that day. Project a professional image, which includes wearing company provided attire with logo. Maintains a safe driving record. Assists in documentation of service and installation actions by completing installation books with taking detailed notes. Assists in maintaining a clean and professional job site throughout installation and upon project completion. Math, reading and writing skills. Knowledge of common attachment devices (i.e. sleeve anchors, tapcons, structural fasteners...). Ability to project professional image, convey information clearly and interact positively with clients, co-workers, vendors, and others.
