ATTENTION GUITAR PLAYERS: The Music Academy of WNC, in Hendersonville, is offering a three-hour workshop for intermediate and advanced guitar players on understanding and applying the diatonic modes for improvisation purposes on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. This workshop will include the theory and structure behind each diatonic mode, the chords and extensions each mode creates, the pentatonic scale options found within each mode, the diatonic scale patterns found on the guitar for each mode, and modal options over extended chords and progressions. This workshop is taught by Michael Ridenour, Music Academy owner and director. Workshop is held in the Music Academy rehearsal room. Cost is $35.00 per attendee.
