About us Humane Homes NC is a no-harm wildlife removal and prevention company. Where wild animals come into conflict with humans, we empower people, repair dwellings and respect wildlife. We are seeking a Wildlife Exclusion Technician to train and grow with us. The work is hands-on installation of exclusion and reinforcement materials and live trapping. It's somewhat dirty work and a great workout. Our team is methodical, meticulous, alert, kind, and quick to enjoy a good laugh. We are celebrated for each job well done and have each other's back. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent life experience Home repair/handyperson/carpentry experience Own basic hand tools or willing to purchase required tools Valid and clean driver’s license Willing to complete a criminal background check Wildlife sciences and/or hunting, trapping background (preferred but not required) Job Requirements Able to work safely in attics, crawl spaces, roofs Can work safely in hot/cold weather Can load, set up, & work on ladders up to 32’ on your own; 40’ ladder with someone else Capable of inspecting and identifying all areas of homes for small access points Can follow standard operating procedures (best practices, philosophy, safety & sanitization) Willing to clean up animal wastes with appropriate PPE Willing to travel to jobs within 40-mile radius of Chapel Hill Positive, can-do attitude Creative problem solver, proactive approach to work Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Comfortable speaking with clients Willing to receive & provide constructive feedback Competent with smartphone and other digital tools (scheduling, communication, photos & documentation) Medical benefits are not provided Liability and workman’s comp are provided.
