RMPS Automotive Equipment was born from the culmination of over 30 years of automotive shop ownership. You may find yourself installing a new lift at a popular franchise such as Jiffy Lube, Peerless Tire, Discount Tire, or Costco to name a few. Other days you will enjoy the feeling you give a homeowner after installing a storage lift allowing them to store their favorite cars in a single space inside their home. As you progress you will learn about types of lift systems, brands, repair, and maintenance. Not only will you develop new skills, you will grow as a person with mentoring. Some requirements • Experience with hand and power tools • Past work on car repair • Reliable transportation • Able to lift 75 pounds • Dependable • No issue with extended physical activity some days Preferred qualities • Previous auto mechanic • Interest in cars • Work with fluid systems such as hydraulics Job outline • Install and main shop equipment not limited to lifts, air compressors, and parts washers • Deliver, load, and unload equipment to job sites • Communicate with customers to pinpoint issues that need to be resolved • Make decisions during lift installations based on site conditions • Inspect lifts for annual inspections • Troubleshoot Each day you will get to work with different brands and designs of lifts.
