Do you work at a shop from 9 to 5 or have experience as a Mobile Mechanic and looking to make some extra money on your own time? Do you have access to a lift and or a shop and tools with experience working on a LS1? I have a 2000 Corvette that needs to have the Harmonic Balancer Replaced. You must have all the tools needed.
- J 41816Crankshaft Balancer Remover
- J 41816-2 Crankshaft End Protector
- J 42386-A Flywheel Holding Tool
- J 41665 Crankshaft Balancer and Sprocket Installer
- J 36660-A Torque Angle Me (harmonic balancer pulling tool
I have the All Data Service Manual to help guide you along if needed. I've already replaced the Tensioning Pully and am looking for someone to replace the Harmonic Balancer, Front Main Seal (its not leaking but why not its right there), and change the serpentine belt while your at it.
I'm a 100% service connected disabled veteran on a limited income and cant afford to pay $100.00/hr and also get charged "book time" but I can afford to pay a reasonable wage for what is likely about a 4 hour job for someone who knows how to do these types of things. Dont need to be ASE Certified but you should be a "real mechanic" not a hobbyist or amateur. The car is my daily driver so I prefer to get the work done sooner rather then later.
If interested send me a summary of your experience and contact me with either a bid or estimate for your labor and let me know when you can do the job. I can afford to pay approx. $350 - $550 cash and can provide the new parts. Both the car and myself are located in Colleyville and I have some flexibility with respect to where the work is performed.
