Looking for a small dog.

I'm in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Looking for a small dog, 25lbs or less. Must be short because of the size of my dog door. Needs to be potty trained and no puppies. I have birds, so must be ok with small animals. We prefer couch potato dogs. I know it's allot to ask but maybe I'll find the right one for us! My female peek-a-poo dog passed away from old age and kidney disease. It has been hard on us and my current dog as well. He is not used to being the only dog and wonders around looking for her still.. It breaks my heart. It has been over 6 months and I am ready for a new baby. I have a fully fenced back yard in a safe neighborhood on a dead end road. I own my home so there are no animal restrictions. I also have a dedicated bedroom for my dog and a doggie door to go out any time of the day! I have cameras to monitor them inside and outside when we're not home.
