Come see what all the fuss is about! Needle felting at The Salty Owl Studio is fast becoming Kalamazoo's favorite creative activity and you'll soon learn why: it's fun, easy to learn, and can relieve stress while you're getting creative. (Needle felting is done by stabbing wool with sharp needles- VERY good for relieving stress!) In this workshop, participants will make felted fungi at the guidance of pro-felter and Studio owner Mackenzie. She'll cover tools, materials, techniques, and offer expert instruction all while making folks feel at ease with her warmth and wit. Completed toadstools can be used in home decor or DIY projects, turned into keychains, used as essential oil diffusers, or displayed on a home-office workspace. Sign up soon as there isn't mush-room in this workshop! These toadstools were added to a small terra cotta pot with some found natural materials to create a stunning, unique mantle piece!
