The poorly named Kill Phil Fun Run is back with Volume 3 in 2023! The title of the fun run is Inspired by the classic movie Kill Bill, an early 2000s martial arts film. One of the most memorable scenes from the movie features a bloody sword fight between the main character, dressed in a yellow track suit, and the Crazy 88, a gang of trained assassins, all dressed in black suits. Kill Phil is a free, untimed fun run/walk and open to participants of all fitness levels. Registration is limited to a crazy 88 participants. The Kill Phil Fun Run is the only time that we encourage walkers and runners to dress in black. So put on you best suit and tie, cool tuxedo T-shirt, or simply a black t-shirt. Participants will follow a bicycle lead on a route that follows the Fort Wayne Trails network. The route will be clearly and marked, but we won’t have police presence so be sure to follow traffic laws at road crossings! How does is work? The rules are pretty simple. Just finish the 5k(ish) route before Phil. Fun trophies go to the first place male and female finishers and first place place boy and girl (under 13) finishers. Phil launches at 1:00pm. We launch at 1:05(ish)pm. Awards begin at 2pm. All ages welcome!
