MWBA is heading up Sunset Ridge Trail this month for a hike-in workday. Volunteers will be addressing drainage fixes, rut repair, and armoring projects with the guidance of our friendly trail leaders. Come learn how trail drainage and tread repair works while giving back to one of our favorite local gems. After a morning of work, we will gather at Loma Alta Park to share a hearty lunch and stories from the day. Staging and sign-in this month will be at the southwest lot of Loma Alta Park on Palm Street. If you've joined us in the past, this is our usual lunch spot. We will load tools and carpool up the gated Chaney Trail to the work sites. Please indicate on your RSVP if you are willing to transport 3-4 volunteers in your vehicle. Crossover or SUV ground clearance is highly recommended. As always, no trail work experience is necessary to join us on trail! We will provide the tools and guidance for a fun, responsible, and productive day in the forest. Please bring the following in preparation for a successful day out on the trail: Trail work clothing: long sleeve shirt, long pants, sturdy shoes, eye protection are required.
