The Space Center Project in Lompoc has recently reached significant milestones, meeting the City's financing requirements ($750K+) and submitting our Concept & Feasibility Study (CFS) and Experience Design Plan (EDP) in December 2022. Our project continues to mature and will have a significant educational focus and impact on the greater Lompoc Valley. “Space Base California” will teach the science and tell the story of mankind’s next great epoch adventure … our return to the Moon and then onto Mars. The growing space industry clearly has a local, regional and national need for vocational work force job training. We are exploring program specifics with Lompoc Unified School District and will look to expand this across the wider Central Coast region. We have more updates to provide the community in small group briefings from January 14-16, 2023. There are 13 briefings scheduled from Saturday-Monday, prior to an important City Council meeting on Tuesday evening where the project will be discussed in greater detail.
