Kings United Way is hosting its inaugural Power of the Purse luncheon to recognize Administrative Professionals Day in Kings County and to raise funds for local charities. The luncheon is scheduled for April 25, 2023, from Noon to 2 pm at the Hanford Civic Auditorium. A plated lunch will be provided. Doors will open at 11 am. Tickets for opportunity drawings will be sold during the event. All funds raised from Power of the Purse will support the following local organizations: CASA of Kings County Episcopal Church of the Saviour Soup Kitchen Kings Community Action Organization Kings County Commission on Aging Kings Gospel Mission Paws and Claws Refuge Armona St. Brigid’s Community Outreach Center The Salvation Army United Cerebral Palsy of Central California Power of the Purse events are held throughout the United States in other communities by local United Way organizations. This is an opportunity to recognize Administrative Professionals and to strengthen the capacity of local charities working to help our Kings County neighbors.
