Join the RDU Chapters of the NBMBAA & BIT to Walk for Hope on MLK Day

The RDU Chapter of the National Black MBA Association & The RDU Chapter of Blacks in Technology have teamed up to volunteer and participate in the Walk for Hope on Monday, January 16, 2023 - Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. We want you to make MLK Day a day of service and fun by joining us in the Walk for Hope. We are asking for participants and volunteers to bring in-kind donations that can be used for hygienic purposes. These donations will go to Hope International Connection, a non-profit organization that offers free support groups, education, and housing to abuse and addiction survivors. This event is being hosted by Mt. Zion Church in Cary, NC. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing because the walk will begin in the church's parking lot and last for approximately one mile. Water and light refreshments will be provided during the walk. If you would like to meet up with other NBMBAA and BIT members who are participating in the walk, please register on Eventbrite and meet at the NBMBAA and BIT table at Mt. Zion - Cary at 8:45 am. The walk will begin shortly thereafter. This is a family-friendly event. Feel free to bring children. The award-winning RDU Chapter, Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Youth who are the National Business Case Competition Champions of 2022 will also be helping to volunteer and participate in the walk.
