Have you ever wondered why the Mass is so important to Catholics? Do you want to deepen your understanding of the Mass so you can participate in it more fully? Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church will host a day of learning about the Mass with Dr. Denis McNamara, associate professor and director of the Center for Beauty and Culture at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Afternoon workshops will explore the nature of beauty and its relationship to the Mass. After the 5:00 Sunday Vigil Mass, enjoy a reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres followed by Dr. McNamara’s keynote presentation on the biblical foundations of Catholic church architecture. Tickets are only required for the reception and keynote presentation in the evening. The event is free. Join us for any sessions that interest you. Dr. McNamara is a frequent presenter in academic and professional settings and is a co-host of the popular "The Liturgy Guys" podcast.
