Lifeboat Addiction Recovery is partnering with several community organizations to host “The Felony Expungement Fair”. A 3 hour event where participants can perform a criminal background check, seek legal advice, and apply to remove qualifying charges from their personal records. This is all funded through various non-profit organizations, which means that the event is open to the public at no cost to participants. Who: Join Lifeboat Addiction Recovery and their affiliate partners: Clean Slate Navigation a program of Capital Area Michigan Works Safe and Just, a program of Citizens Alliance on Prisons and Public Spending (CAPPS) Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Wellness, InX What: To find employees for open job positions, to increase access and retention for your current employees, or to find out more information about your criminal background checks. Criminal Backgrounds can be a barrier to employment opportunities. Employment opportunities are very important for people going through the Substance Use Disorder pipeline. Employment can make the difference when finding a place to live, going through the criminal justice system, or living in a healthy household.
