Description

God loves you and wants to save you. You can be saved and reconciled to God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His Son, Who died for your sins on the cross when He was crucified. He can give you eternal life. John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Please place your trust / faith / belief in the Lord Jesus Christ (who is the Son of God) ALONE as your savior and what he accomplished for you with his Death/burial/resurrection (further detailed below). We are saved by the grace of God. He is merciful. 1. Recognize that you are a guilty sinner (as all of us are - Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23) in the sight of a holy God and are under God's wrath. We have all sinned and need the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ to save us. (Galatians 3:26, John 6:28-29, Ephesians 2:8-9). Sin separates us from God. You cannot save yourself and sin has a penalty: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23 KJV). Additionally, the Bible also says: "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15 KJV) 2. God sent His only begotten Son to die for the sins of humanity. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Messiah. Jesus was crucified on the cross and died, was buried, and was raised bodily from the dead (resurrected) three days later (his tomb was empty!). He died and shed his blood for your sins, and took your punishment. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). Jesus Christ died for YOU and mankind in general. (Romans 5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.) Salvation is a free gift of God. You cannot "earn" your way to heaven by your own merits (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus was perfect and DID NOT SIN. He was sent to be the propitiatory sacrifice for the sins of mankind. 3. Believe on Jesus Christ/REPENT toward God - Put your faith in Jesus Christ (the Son of God and the Messiah) and what he did for you when he died on the cross for your sins (thereby paying the price/penalty for your sins and enduring the punishment that you deserved) and was resurrected bodily from the dead by God (Romans 10:9*). He is the Savior of mankind and through faith in Him and what He did for you at Calvary, you can gain eternal life and the forgiveness of your sins (Mark 16:16-----see also: John 6:29, John 6:40, Romans 5:1, John 3:18). His literal blood has the power to cleanse you of sin. Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Mark 16:16 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. John 3:18 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Acts 16:29-31 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. John 14:6 King James Version 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. *****A saved person will be indwelt by the Holy Spirit.***** --------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Note: After the crucifixion on the cross, Jesus was buried. Three days later God raised Him from the dead (was physically/bodily resurrected). Later on, Jesus then ascended to Heaven and He is now at the right hand of God the Father.
