I realize this is the north east, and this may be a futile search.. However, As life and entertainment simply must exist before people go bananaballz, I am posting this in the hopes there are some who, like me, need to make large audiences smile. And fkng MOVE. *This is Not a garage-style casual cover band, so if you are a hobbyist, with all respect, you should probably look elsewhere. Looking to put together Authentic sounding set-lists (like, live recorded versions, etc.. Not Bob Dylan versions of Interpol, etc..) This means guitar wizards with a passion for getting a variety of tones as close as possible to album versions for songs in the set. (Challenging and doable for the right person) ; Bass player who is All manner of Pocket and can bring the vibes without single-handedly embodying the entire band Kiss. (Not doing Kiss covers. just fyi ;) And a keyboard/piano player who can glue it all together and dig in deep when required. Feel here is more important than proficiency.. tho also greatly appreciated. Any backing vocals anyone can bring would be most welcome. Sets will consist of music from these bands and more: Coldplay Early U2 The National Radiohead *This endeavor is to create a Very Large Sound on stage to patrons who don't usually get to experience it without going to very large venues. Not about the volume, but how much we can fill whatever space with appropriate sonic 'Fill'. Coldplay is a great example of what I mean here, (Rush of blood, etc..) Also some select 80's / 90's music in there, from A-Ha/Tears for Fears to classic Pearl Jam/AIC, etc.. and making a set that flows well, has impact and will keep people entertained. Looking to eventually make it into the college touring circuit / private functions., transitioning into writing originals and doing this as full time as we can. First things first tho, so if this sounds like a good fit and fun and most important, not boring, HMU. 20's to late 30's ideally with a passion for performing and bringing something special to the stage is a must.
