Job description Purpose and Scope: Waynesboro Landscape & Garden Center is an award-winning Landscape Architecture and Construction Company for residential, commercial, and municipal landscaping. Our Landscape Crew Members play a critical role in providing the customers we serve with exceptional hardscape and softscape features for their home or business. Ideal candidate can work well with others to produce quality work efficiently, enjoys working outdoors in all conditions, doesn't mind working hard and takes pride in a job well done. The Landscape Crew Member roles require the ability to develop excellent working relationships with other team members as well as strong relationships with the customers we serve by utilizing communication skills, acute attention to detail, and industry expertise. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Performing landscape installation and maintenance duties as directed by Crew Leaders and Landscape Designers. · Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times · Other company related duties as requested and assigned Required Skills & Qualifications: · A basic knowledge of plant care · Ability to operate various landscaping equipment, performing labor functions, mulching, installation, etc. · Ability to work effectively individually as well as in a team environment · Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather · Familiarity with different types of plants · Dependability and attention to detail · Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in all seasons including standing for long periods of time ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP The Landscape Crew Member role reports to a Crew Leader and to the Landscape Designer responsible for each job. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education/Experience/Training: Landscape installation experience is preferred. Additional Requirements: Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform basic physical tasks normal to the construction industry, including but not limited to kneeling for long periods, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, crawling, lifting at least 50 lbs. routinely (over 100 lbs. occasionally) and be able to work with arms above head level for sustained periods of time; must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures and in adverse weather and job site conditions.
