Description

In this class series, We will work on diaphragmatic breathing and different movements. It is really quite similar to comparing the movements and progressions to that of a child beginning to roll over, crawl, squat and stand. It's these most simplistic of movements that get forgotten which ultimately can lead our body to malfunction and cause chaos in our system...pelvic floor weakness and bladder issues, weak stomach/abdominal muscles and hernias, and muscle weakness causing recurring pain cycles. (No one's back ever "just" goes out! It's been on its way out for awhile!) The goal of this class is to get these things (breathing and movements) in proper working order to best facilitate recovery after birth and prepare the body for any upcoming births or to just regain control of our core and eliminate that stubborn low back weakness. Here are our course objectives: Start with improving breathing patterns that will evolve into full body functional motor patterns (Movement is life!)Establish a solid core foundation, (no kegels, crunches or sit-ups)Repair DiastasisBy the 3rd Trimester, 100% of all women will have a diastasis. What are you doing to repair it?Activate your Pelvic FloorDribbling and/or peeing our pants is common but most certainly NOT normal and NOT okay!Enhance your posture through safe, effective movements that transfer to any activity of daily life. (Keep up with your baby!)While my focus is on the postpartum population - anyone is welcome to join a class. I have done many 1on1's with gentlemen as well :) and last I checked they aren't having babies! But they do have a functional core that needs to be working properly. Come ready to move and reconnect with your breath and body again! This is a movement class so please dress accordingly and bring a yoga mat!
