Description
The practice of embroidery dates back to 5th century BCE, evolving over the ages into a decorative artform used on tapestries, garments, textiles… and even postcards! Join guest speaker and arts educator Jennifer Davis as she explores the embroidered mini masterpieces of the David P. Campbell Postcard collection. Davis will discuss the history of embroidery, share basic embroidery techniques, and guide participants through the process of adding decorative stitching to postcards—creating their own one-of-a-kind works of art. Kick off 2023 with this free, hands-on crafting workshop for all ages.
